Yvette was born and raised in Los Angeles, California in the Silverlake neighborhood. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in American Studies and a minor in Sociology. At Berkeley Law, Yvette provides financial and administrative support for general operations for the Jurisprudence and Social Policy (JSP) program, the Center for the Study of Law and Society (CSLS), and Legal Studies. Yvette prepares and submits financial transactions and payments for approval, assists with NSF grants for faculty and students, coordinates various conferences and workshops, and processes JSP and CSLS student travel awards, BELS Fellows research funds, and travel reimbursements for faculty, students and CSLS guests. She also assists in the administration of various gift funds for faculty and general faculty support and serves as the Assistant Building Safety Coordinator, coordinating facilities maintenance issues. Yvette enjoys dancing, cooking international dishes, baking delicious treats, being in nature, practicing yoga, enjoying eclectic music, admiring monarch butterflies, and playing with her kitties, Rosie and Walter. She is proudly left handed.
