Silvia Fregoni

Bio/CV: 

Silvia Fregoni is a Lloyd M. Robbins JSD Fellow and 2022 Miller-ASIL Fellow at UC Berkeley School of Law. Fregoni’s research focuses on corporate law, law and economics, and international law. She has a particular interest in applying social science and quantitative research methods to explore a variety of topics in these areas, such as the intersection of corporate law and environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects, which is the focus of her doctoral thesis. Fregoni has also studied the development of international regulations on ESG and the growing litigation on climate change. Her experience at Berkeley includes teaching in the Economics Department as a graduate student instructor and tutor, including assisting the 2021 Nobel Prize winner Professor David Card, researching in the Law School, and giving a lecture on climate litigation against corporations. Fregoni currently works as a graduate student researcher for the Berkeley Center for Law and Business (BCLB) and the Business in Society Institute, and as a research associate for Berkeley ESG Executive Programs. Prior to joining Berkeley, Fregoni had an awarded work experience as a business journalist and news editor, always focusing on corporate governance and capital market regulations.
